I'm a junior nursing student studying nursing with minors in education, Scholars and forensics.  I love volunteering and helping others.  Through my service trips to Central America, I have learned a myriad things about diverse cultures and lifestyles. I hope to apply these skills to my everyday practice as a nurse.

In the future, I would like to continue my studies in order to become a nurse practitioner. Learning extends after graduation and is a lifelong process. A large component of nursing is plasticity; the medical field is always changing with new practices, innovative developments, and emergency situations. In the journey to becoming a nurse, I will need to adapt to the demanding needs of the medicinal environment to provide the best care to my patients.

Once I am a registered nurse, I hope to become an active member of the American Nurses Association.  By attending meetings and seminars, I can be up-to-date with the newest issues in nursing and I can be a catalyst for changes in the medical sphere in order to create a more safe and effective healthcare environment.
